Secret Door Synopsis
"Secret Door" is a historical drama about one of the most mysterious figures in Korean history during the Chosun Dynasty, Lee Sun is the Crown Prince Sado (Lee Je Hoon), the second son and heir of the forceful King Yeongjo (Han Suk Kyu), who will do anything to protect his power. Married to Lady Hyegyeong (Park Eun Bin), Prince Sado is purported to have been mentally ill and would randomly kill and rape the people in the palace.
He also clashed with King Yeongjo over his beliefs that everyone in the kingdom should enjoy equal rights. Prince Sado befriends Seo Ji Dam (Kim Yoo Jung), a bookstore owner and amateur sleuth, and Na Chul Joo (Kim Min Jong), a master swordsman, as they investigate a death in the palace. When the king orders Prince Sado to be put to death in the most horrific way, was it really for the good of the people?
